From the world of KWS

New in PowerPoint

The new design of the PowerPoint Building Kit looks more modern, lighter and yet familiar. Only a few pinpointed adjustments, such as removal of the orange header box, have been made to create the fresh overall impression – and new layout ideas will inspire visually appealing presentations in combination with our in-house imagery. The new design retains key basic structures. Existing slides or even entire presentations can be easily transferred to the new design. |

Sharing knowledge

KWS recently became a member of a local Knowledge Exchange Community including companies such as Sartorius, K+S and Ottobock. The aim is to exchange knowledge in order to share successful concepts, drive innovation and learn together through discussion.

A first event in March dealt with the topic of communication in rollout projects and offered numerous practical examples. Another event was dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence and provided an insight into the approaches adopted by other companies. All participants found the exchange inspiring and valuable. |

Environment Week: Our team provided information on sustainable pig rearing using hybrid rye.

Pioneering feed project

In cooperation with the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover and Brand Qualitätsfleisch, KWS presented the joint feed and marketing project at the beginning of June during the Environment Week sponsored by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU). This year’s event in the park of Bellevue Palace focused on the importance of sustainable agriculture.

KWS took part with the topic “Brand’s Heide straw pigs – a contribution to sustainable animal husbandry and food.” The focus here is on regional marketing of pork, combined with a reduced-emission feed strategy. The hybrid rye used in that helps slash carbon emissions while improving animal welfare and cultivation conditions.

“Sustainable agriculture must offer farmers real added value and must also be feasible,” emphasizes Executive Board Member Peter Hofmann. KWS expects planned certification of the project to be completed this year. In the areas of feed cultivation, animal husbandry and slaughtering, feed causes around 60 percent of carbon emissions from pork. By integrating rye, emissions up to the slaughter stage can be cut by up to 30 percent, thus making agriculture more sustainable and reducing the ecological footprint. |

Compact, clear and always at hand

Our new Knowledge Cards are helpful for colleagues in sales, marketing and other areas. They offer a compact overview of our product and KWS campaigns as well as core KWS topics. New topics are added all the time. The Knowledge Cards contain relevant information, conversation starters, graphics and links. They are an effective tool for communicating messages clearly and persuasively and making our product range as a whole available at a glance. |
