Dear Readers,
An exciting year for our KWS is drawing to a close – one in which, among other things, we moved into the vegetables arena, adopted a new legal form and underwent reorganization with ONEGLOBE. Yet it’s only when we put all of those pieces together that we can see the big picture: They will ensure that KWS can continue to grow profitably in the future, too. By entering the vegetables business, the company has moved into a segment that will grow long term. The new legal form will lastingly secure the influence of the family shareholders and thus KWS’ independence. CEO Hagen Duenbostel talks about 2019 and KWS’ objectives next year and beyond in an interview.
Our reorganization as part of ONEGLOBE is now taking on more and more visible contours: Our colleagues will move into KWS’ branch office in Bülowstraße in Berlin in the spring. However, perhaps the biggest changes are the new functions that have been created or restructured in a highly challenging process, including Human Resources, or Finance and Procurement. They will now offer KWS ideal support. You can read what key topics the “HR Roadmap” covers in an interview with Melanie Eisinger, Head of Global HR. Rainer Krug, Head of Global Finance & Procurement, explains the strategic goals of the unit.
We hope you enjoy reading this edition of insideKWS!
