Our growers need us

Due to the complexity of the moment that the world is facing with the Covid-19 pandemics, we need to acknowledge the challenge that we have with serenity, seriousness and responsibility. We consider the safety and health of our team as a priority, and right now we need to move forward without putting at risk those we love.

We know that seed production is directly related to the food chain and this depends on the success of agriculture. A healthy population is also a well-nourished population.

We, from the KWS production team continue to perform all the activities that are critical to the production process, and currently, facing the moment of detasseling.

Because of that, we have around 500 people that need to be on the fields every day, and nature will not wait for us.

In this context we are taking very seriously all the safety measures in all the steps involved (transportation, lodging, feeding, etc.) with a large structure of logistics and support, respecting all the recommendations of WHO, the Brazilian Ministry of Health, and all the different health and local governmental entities in every field where we work.

We believe that at this time, we need to offer our hands, even without a handshake, preserving the human relations, because our growers need us to receive their seeds, and guarantee that the food chain will not brake, reaffirming that from our side, the agriculture will not stop. |
