Good service via digital channels

Alexey Chernyavskiy, the Commercial Director for the Business Unit Corn and Oil Crops, explains their approach towards the new reality of Seed is Life”.

As we now face the coronavirus, where social distancing, self-quarantining, and distance learning are now a part of everyday life, we must deal with new challenges. We as the seed specialists are being asked to step up and continue to do our jobs in the face of adversity.

KWS in Russia fully understands just how important it is to be there for our farmers and customers. In this unprecedented time, KWS in Russia has taken several steps to help ensure that the seeds will be delivered in due time and the service will be provided at the highest level.

LOGISTICS

The employees from the logistics department of all Business Units (Sugarbeet, Corn, Cereals) at KWS in Russia work hard and operate at a high level. We are in constant contact with our KWS international colleagues and logistics providers who are continuing to serve us without delays or interruptions. Unfortunately, we have some logistics issues at the national level, but we are developing emergency plans for any unforeseen interruptions in our supply chain, in order to be able to deliver our seeds in time for planting.

SERVICE

Currently, the majority of KWS sales representatives continue to provide the same great service. The colleagues are supporting the farmers and customers still operational, despite they are now working from home offices. While the in-person contact is now not allowed or very limited, our employees are still conducting communication (online or in urgent cases face-to-face with all necessary self-protection) in order to ensure excellent support at the farmer’s and customer’s level. Our Research and Development (R&D) in Russia meets the challenges to carry out the multiplication of the seeds for the coming season and the trials as planned, too. Due to restrictive measures for free migration of the population within the country there are some difficulties the employees must deal with. But we are confident about what we’re doing and the impact it is making.

EMPLOYEES

We are all feeling the effects of the corona pandemic right now. We hope very much that the situation becomes stable soon and we will do our best to continue to offer seeds and service as before.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who continue to do their jobs and ensure that the seed supply and the harvest in 2020 is secured.

Many thanks, dear colleagues, for your commitment. |
