A reason to celebrate

It all began in 1856 in the village of Klein Wanzleben, when Matthias Christian Rabbethge laid the foundation for what KWS is today: a leading seed specialist, an innovation driver, an international employer – and a company with a very special culture. KWS has been deeply rooted in agriculture from the outset, and today we continue to help and support farmers around the world as a strong partner.

“Being able to lead the seventh generation of the KWS family business is a privilege and dear to my heart. And I look back with great respect on what my ancestors and so many dedicated colleagues have achieved and built over the years,” says Felix Büchting, Spokesperson of the Executive Board.

Although there won’t be a big bash to mark our 170th anniversary, we don’t want to let it pass by unnoticed. For us, “A Future with Heritage” also means pausing to look back on what we’ve accomplished and to celebrate our successes.
