The Global Leadership Team and nominated employees met in Berlin under the slogan “Future of Work.” Among other things, they discussed how artificial intelligence will change our working world.
Collaboration
Three building blocks for
a new working world
What will tomorrow’s world of work look like at KWS? What new methods of collaboration can be used and implemented? The International Management Circle (IMC) discussed those topics in Berlin.
The world of work is currently changing at a rapid pace. Whether it is the ever-increasing use of digital tools, generational change, new working models or the changing needs and requirements of employees – KWS also needs to keep on the ball. “Future of Work” was therefore the apt title for the workshops, presentations and more which brought together the 80 participants in the IMC. The IMC is made up of the Global Leadership Team and individually nominated employees who are selected anew for each event.
In the World Café, colleagues presented exciting KWS pilot projects on the future of the working world, such as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in sales, on fields or in finance. Everything revolved around the three building blocks of innovation, processes and people. And people were the particular focus of the dialog with the Global Graduates: How can we at KWS remain interesting for the generation of digital natives? What role do corporate and leadership culture play and which topics are particularly relevant for this target group? This is an important point so that we as a company can continue to attract the right talents and retain them in the future. Under the theme “Four generations at KWS,” four KWS managers from the baby boomer, X, Y and Z generations also discussed their expectations of and experiences in the world of work with the full group.
The two-day meeting in Berlin revolved around the three building blocks of innovation, processes and people.
Inspiring presentations
Managers face particular challenges in times of change. Yasmin Weiß, a professor specializing in digitalization in the world of work, was invited as an external speaker to talk about the importance of gaining confidence in change and further developing social skills. The more technological our world becomes, the more human we have to become and the more mindful we have to be toward one another.
Everyone is currently talking about AI – but how can KWS leverage it to best effect? In addition to the short presentations in the World Café, there was additional input from an external talk on the potential and use of the latest technologies.
All in all, they were two successful days in which, in addition to personal dialog, there was also a lot of fresh impetus on a wide variety of topics from the world of work that will help us keep on working together with excellence in the future. |
