Deutschlandticket Job
Get mobile for just €16.55
Our company agreement on a voluntary allowance makes traveling by public transport with the Deutschlandticket Job attractive.
Under the company agreement, employees who use a Deutschlandticket Job (“Job Ticket for Germany”) or a successor ticket are granted a voluntary travel allowance. The aim is to offer employees an attractive option for using local public transport and help protect the environment. The company agreement applies to all active employees whose primary place of work is in Germany and who are employed permanently or for at least six months. The ticket’s price is deducted from your monthly pay.
Deutschlandticket: the cheap way to get to the office
How can you order the Deutschlandticket Job?
You can find the relevant tile on the HR landing page in the intranet. Under point 4 there is a link to the online portal of the transportation company Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG). The access data and other important information can be found directly under the link.
By when should you order the Deutschlandticket Job?
You should submit your application no later than two working days before the 10th of a calendar month in order to begin participating in this offer effective the 1st of the following month.
How long is the ticket valid for?
In principle, the ticket is automatically renewed on a monthly basis; use of it for individual months is excluded. You can cancel your subscription at any time. The ticket becomes invalid if you leave the company or if your employment relationship is suspended without you receiving pay.
How can you obtain the ticket?
The ticket is not yet available online. As soon as your personal ticket is received by KWS, you will be notified about where and when you can pick it up.
How much does the ticket cost?
The ticket currently costs €49. A group discount and an attractive subsidy of €30 from KWS mean it costs you just €16.55. The price is automatically deducted in your pay statement.

Recent changes to the law and a new name for Corrente
Reporting sick by phone: Since December 2023, employees have been able to be given sick leave due to “minor illnesses” by a doctor over the phone if they are known to the practice in question. During the coronavirus pandemic, sick leave was granted over the phone only if someone had a respiratory illness. That is now possible for all ailments “where it is foreseeable that their progression is not serious.” However, the medical certificate must not cover a period of more than five days. If the illness persists, patients must visit the doctor’s practice to obtain a follow-up medical certificate attesting that they are still unable to work.
Child sickness benefit: Since January 1, 2024, each parent with statutory health insurance can obtain child sickness benefits for up to 15 working days a year per child under the age of 12, and for up to 35 days a year in total if he or she has more than one child. The benefit is payable to single parents for 30 working days a year per child under the age of 12 and a maximum of 75 days per year in total. This regulation will initially apply for 2024 and 2025.
New name: Our external employee counseling service Corrente is now called Stimulus. Apart from that, the service has not changed at all: All KWS employees can continue to receive free advice on personal, family, professional, financial and everyday matters. |
